This past Saturday Joshua and I spent the day at a middle school…not for the great cafeteria food but so he could compete in his second chess tournament. He had a great time and did so well that he brought home a medal!

Just a quick note…

Today was our cub scout pack’s pinewood derby races. Unfortunately, no trophies were brought home but Dominic did snag a ribbon for ‘most musical’ design.

Livin’ on a Prayer

So…
for some reason back in November (maybe) I decided to introduce my kids to Bon Jovi’s song ‘Livin on a Prayer’.  Little did I know that they would take this song and make it their anthem for the next 2 months.  Even Elias (who doesn’t yet talk) will hum and ’sing’ the chorus…”Ohhhh, we’re half way there….” – you get the idea.  Well, to say I haven’t been too popular with Jenn after she’s heard this day in and day out would be a slight understatement.  Still, they are cute when they sing it.
